🎮 Game Description

Game Overview

NES Remix 2 expands on the nostalgic retro-compilation concept by applying modern arcade challenges to iconic NES games released between 1988 and 1994. Players test their gaming skills across dynamic mini-challenges that take isolated segments from classic titles and task players with completing specific goals under tight time limits. Completing stages earns stars and unlocks additional stages, Miiverse stamps, and bonus modes.

In addition to standard game-specific trials, NES Remix 2 shines through its specialized Remix stages. These levels remix classic game properties by introducing visual filters, mirror-mode environments, shifting camera perspectives, or swapping playable characters across different universes—such as controlling Link from The Legend of Zelda inside a Super Mario Bros. 2 level.

The Wii U release also includes two full bonus games: Super Luigi Bros., a complete, mirrored version of Super Mario Bros. played entirely from right to left using Luigi's higher-jumping abilities, and Championship Mode, which replicates the competitive scoring format of the 1990 Nintendo World Championships using three select NES titles.
