In Dolphin Up, players control a dolphin gaining momentum underwater before leaping high into the air. While airborne, players execute backflips, corkscrews, and tail-slides to rack up score points and build speed multipliers. Entering the water smoothly upon landing maintains your entry speed, allowing for progressively higher launches into the atmosphere—and eventually into outer space.
The primary objective is score maximization within the timed limit. As your speed and altitude increase, you can leap past seagulls and clouds, break through the atmosphere to orbit the Moon, and venture across outer space to interact with planetary objects and alien rings.
On the Nintendo Wii U, Dolphin Up offers flexible, straightforward analog and button control schemes that emphasize fluid physics and precise landing angles. With full Off-TV Play support, players can enjoy quick, arcade score-attack runs directly on the Wii U GamePad display.
